Randon Word: Cat

Today is 2/18/22 and I asked my youngest for a random word.  She gave me the word Cat.  I shall now attempt to write about this word in terms of tabletop gaming, fishing, and 3D printing.


Tabletop Gaming

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about cats in reference to tabletop gaming is Dungeons and Dragons races.  There have been many o' cat races over the years since the mid 90s when I started playing.  I recall the Wemic race, which was a lion-taur race that the top half looked like a ThunderCat and the bottom half was a Lion.

In the more current editions, the two races that come to mind are the Tabaxi, a sentient leopard-like race and a Leonin, a bipedal Lion-like race.

Fishing

First thing that comes to mind when thinking about the word cat with regards to fishing is catfish.  

We don't have catfish in Alaska, unless a person has a private pond with catfish brought up from the lower 48 states.

Sad day for catfishers.


3D Printing

There are a variety of things cat-related that can be printed on 3D printers.  

My most commonly requested prints from my kids regarding cats are cosplay equipment, such as cat-ear headbands, cat-like paraphenelia, and so on.


Conclusion

Aside from Dungeons and Dragons, Cats was relatively difficult to write for.  There isn't much to write about regarding cats in terms of fishing or 3D printing.

Fishing in AK: the Hooligan

Caught Off Guard  In spring of 2021, when I decided I would be more proactive with my fishing knowledge and become more of an active fisherman, I came across several Facebook pages about fishing in Alaska.  This was roughly late March 2021.  Similar posts continued all the way into late May. Random Word: Discombobulated

 Another day, another word.  This time I was given the word "Discombobulated" by a good friend of mine.  As usual, I will define the word, then write about how it relates to tabletop gaming, fishing, and 3D printing. According to Websters Dictionary, the word "Discombobulated" is defined as informally to be confused or disordered.  It is the past tense of "Discombobulate" which is defined as to cause or be in a state of confusion, upset, or disorientated.
